Crown Royale Orchardgrass was bred for one  reason and this is for quick regrowth and disease free forage. This is an excellent choice for grazing livestock or in a hay operation. This  is a perennial cool season bunchgrass that us used for hay and grazing pastures. It is a true shade tolerant orchardgrass a word of caution⚠️, it is less tolerant of continuous grazing than ryegrass or fescue. This is a excellent choice for horse pasture mixes as well. You may ask why is this? This is because it is typically lower in water soluble carbohydrates. So this is your go to in shade, mixes, hay, or forage. 

Plant at 15-20 lbs. per acre  Plant 5-8 lbs per acre in mixes.
