Purple Vetch is an annual legume used for cover crop and forage to produce nitrogen/protein & organic matter.  It produces faster cool season growth compared to common vetch.  It is also smaller seeded, which means you get more seeds per pound than with common.  It will mix well with other legumes and/or forage cereals or grasses.
