Mammoth Red clover is a strong taprooted biennial or short-lived perennial that produces vigorous spring and summer growth. It prefers well drained fertile soils that are neutral to slightly acidic. Mammoth red clover is a medium red clover and matures 12-14 days earlier than other red clovers so you will see  flowering sooner. This is a high quality cultivar that has been a widely used, proven performer for a long time. It is used for both pasture and Hay/silage production and also sometimes as a cover crop.
