Zorro fescue is a low-growing, early maturing annual grass used for erosion control, and vineyard and orchard cover crops. Zorro Fescue is a good reseeder and is well suited for vineyards or orchards with drip irrigation. Zorro can grow on a wide variety of soil types including areas with sandy low fertility soils, rocky soils, soils with gravel and soils with volcanic pumice. It can be mowed to about 4 inches with good regrowth but should not be mowed once seed heads are starting to become present in the spring -to allow for reseeding. The awns are removed to make the seed more easy to work with. De-awned seed also will have more seeds per pound than seed with the awns still attached. You will be extremely happy you made the decision to try our Zorro Fescue Coated. The Absorbant and Rootex alone gives you the added security that this seed will not only sprout but it will thrive. To top it off the Mycorrahizae has the benefits to give your new seed the health and vitality that you want when you purchase a coated seed.
