A cool season annual cereal grain.  Montezuma Oats are used primarily for hay and forage production.  Their fine stems make a highly sought after horse hay.  In California, fall planted Montezuma Oats mature from mid-May, with flowering beginning about a month earlier.  In colder areas Montezuma Oats would be planted in the spring.  Certified Organic by CCOF.  This is a excellent choice for a forage crop and it also produces a excellent quality oat hay. The highlight of this crop is it is organic also so if you want to grow and feed organic hay this is definitely a great choice.
