A cool season annual cereal grain.  Montezuma Oats are used primarily for hay and forage production.  Their fine stems make a highly sought after horse hay.  In California, fall planted Montezuma Oats mature from mid-May, with flowering beginning about a month earlier.  In colder areas Montezuma Oats would be planted in the spring.  

Plant at 100 lbs. per acre.
