APB 308 Triticale
Product Description
APB 308 Triticale (X Titicosecale):
Triticale, a cross between wheat and cereal rye makes for an excellent forage or cover crop. APB Triticale is a winter active variety used primarily in California as a high yielding green chop or cover crop. As a forage it produces a high yield and excellent quality, in addition to great standability. When used and a cover crop APB triticale provides benefits similar to winter active varieties of cereal rye (i.e. AGS 104 Rye and Merced Ryegrain). It outshined other varieties in a field trial in the famed California Delta region. It can grow to heights of 40 inches and produce up to 4 tons per acre.
Plant at 100-125 pounds per acre.
