The seed coating has been certified by the Organic Materials Review Institute. This means the coating is ok if you're trying to keep within organic standards. However, it does not mean the seed is organic, rather the coating remains within organic standards. It has excellent yields and forage quality potential with its fine stems, leaf retention, and dark green color.  It had the highest forage yield potential in California plot trails in Woodland, Shafter & Holtville.  803T is a non-dormant variety with a fall dormancy rating of 8.3.
