AberLasting White Clover (Trifolium Hybridum)

A hybrid between White Clover (Trifolium repens) and Caucasian Clover (T. ambiguum), AberLasting White Clover brings to the table the most highly sought after traits of each. White clover is widely used as a forage legume, known for its nitrogen fixing, fast growth habit, high digestible, and high protein, but a limited persistence under extreme conditions. Caucasian Clover has similar superficial characteristics to White Clover, however it has been shown to exhibit a much higher persistency and hardiness under extreme conditions.

Drought Tolerance

When water availability is limited, AberLasting is able to maintain its leaf water content for far longer than conventional White Clover. In experiments in drought bins, AberLasting is capable of maintaining its leaf water content for a period of 3 weeks without watering compared with two weeks for conventional White Clover.

Cold Tolerance

AberLasting White Clover demonstrates it's persistency under extreme conditions, exhibiting excellent tolerance of cold temperatures and freezing. It is able to withstand overnight exposure of temperatures of -4 degrees Fahrenheit, a temperature that will kill off 70% of even the most cold-tolerant White Clover varieties.
