Taipan Balansa Clover is a mid maturing cool season annual legume . It is capable of high performance on heavy clay soils, acidic soils with a pH of 4.5 to 8.5, and waterlogged soils and short periods of flooding. Taipan Balansa us a autumn crop. Great in pasture mixes. It can also be added in spring sown mixes as well. It produces well in the spring and summer too. It can be used as a cover crop, capable of producing more than 100 lbs. of nitrogen per acre, breaking up soil compaction, and adding large amounts of organic matter that can rapidly breakdown into the soil. Fixation is highly palatable to livestock and wildlife, making for outstanding forage for pasture, hay and food plots. Well-established fields are capable of withstanding multiple cuttings or grazings, retaining actively growing leaves along the entire stem. This growth habit allows for better recovery than Crimson, Arrowleaf and other annual clovers. Additionally, fixation is more cold tolerant than other Balansa Clover varieties.
