On visual the seeds don't appear very robust but in the ground they went.into weathered abused soil that had not been watered for months that hand been used as a dumping ground fot concrete slag and resembled the Dust Bowl of the thirties. I turned the soil with a shovel and pick ax hose watered as the sprinkler system had also been rendered inoperable..hand spread the seed raked and hoped for the best I also planted a test pot with better soil and covered with clear plastic to retain the moisture as Anaheim was experiencing a heatwave with numbers in the 90s daily.two weeks and nothing.even the test batch did not germinate.well a month later cooler temperatures some fertilizer and a fountain sprinkler and yes we are finally getting some growth what has come up is very durable as it is daily trodden by some 10 1/2 cowboy boots 2 dogs a nd a 200 lb spur turtle . Under these conditions I'm surprised anything came up (should have soaked the seeds prier to planting.
