Balin Kentucky Bluegrass
A tried and tested grass used for lawns and pastures; provides food and cover for wildlife. Kentucky bluegrass is often found in natural settings such as grasslands. It is also found in many types of soils including mineral and very rich humus soils. Its been utilized in pastures in the Midwest for many years. It should be mixed with other grasses. It is high in forage quality, matures early in the season, and tolerates grazing if not over grazing. It’s very flexible the heading of Balin is late in the spring which provides good quality for a long period before the heading starts.
Growth Height: Balin Kentucky is rated as medium so this makes it great with tall growing mixes.
